We've recently had a couple of new registrations by one or two induhviduals who send inappropriate and annoying private messages to other members -- usually members who have never posted or don't post often. If you receive such messages and they bother you enough that you'd prefer not to receive any emails or private messages at all, here's how to prevent anyone from sending them to you:
First, you'll have to log on. Then, you'll need to edit your profile. Here's how: At the far left of the top line of links, click on User CP. In Control Panel (in the line of links on the left), click on Edit Options. In the Messaging and Notification section on the right, click on the boxes at the left of the following two lines if they have check marks in them, which will remove the check marks: Receive Email from Other Members Enable Private Messaging Slide down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes. That should do it for you. It will stop the abusers in their tracks as far as you are concerned. If you don't feel up to doing this yourself, I'll be happy to do it for you -- just send me a request by private message or email and give me your username on the forum. |
