All these sandpipers are still very confusing to me, and yesterday I ran in to something I can't figure out what it is. It was at the White Rock Lake dam together with a Spotted Sandpiper, and basically of the same size. I did think Semipalmated, but it feels a little to big. It also has some faint streaking on the side and the wings protrude far back over the rump. There is a hint of rufous on the back. So now I'm thinking White-rumped maybe? Or maybe I'm totally off with both my guesses? Here are a couple of lousy pictures.

There have been a few Bairds mixed in with the Least and Semi palmated for a week or so now. There are also a lot of spotted all on the spillway.

Thanks Mike! It seems as if "totally off" was correct. :-)
