On Thanksgiving (Nov. 23) made my usual holiday visit to Seagoville and Wolf Springs Road. Last hour before sundown found a mature bald eagle circling the sod farm; it came to ground and rested for a while, at one point waddling around...have you ever seen an eagle walk? There were great egrets and a GB heron gathered around a ditch near the road and a flock of American Pipits, possibly a hundred or more. Further down the road, there was a northern harrier and two kestrals. There was at least one, maybe two, redtails as usual. The Trinity is not far away but this was the first time to see an eagle in the area.
