    Default Magnolia Warbler in Irving

I was super excited to spot a Magnolia Warbler in my backyard here in Irving the other day (May 20, 2017); it was a first for me (OK, I don't get out much). When I was at the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center yesterday I didn't see them on their bird list so I asked about them. They said a few had been sighted just in the last couple of years. How often are they seen here in Dallas?

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture but I did get a good chance to observe it with my glasses so I'm fairly certain of my identification. Although I read they were insect eaters this one seemed to be interested in the berries on my cedar. Is that possible?

    TIA for any information.

I would be super excited if one of those was in my backyard, too. Thanks for sharing.

Great to know they were you in your backyard. Next time doesn't forget to take a shot.
