Default Bobolinks and Dickcissels Hagerman NWR

I seldom get a chance to photograph Bobolinks as they migrate through our area in spring and sometimes don't even see one at all during the season so I was delighted to find dozens in the winter wheat goose fields at Hagerman NWR, now covered in vetch, on April 30 and fewer seen again on May 14. No show stopper images of the Bobolinks were obtained as they were farther out, popping out of the vetch for a short flight then dropping out of sight again. The nesting Dickcissels in the same fields however are always willing models and provide lots of closeup photo opportunities......
