Nest Box for Wrens & Chickadees

We are building a nest box to accomodate both wrens & chickadees. When do they start nesting here & how soon should we put the box out?

Also, I've read that boxes should be placed between 6' & 10' high to accomodate both birds. What else do I need to know about placement? Thanks for any help!

Hi Dana,
Place the opening facing east, so it won't get too hot.
I put an extra one yesterday and cleaned my old one. Now I'm trying to remember to save the pet's hair after brushing and hang it in a suet cage. It makes good nesting material.
