Oh, Lordy -- I can see that Costa Rica is a must-go-to place, if only because of the wonderful names of the birds there! I googled images of the Prong-billed Barbet on your list, Jim, to see what a prong bill would look like (not quite so exotic as I had imagined), which led me to the website of the Ornithological Association of Costa Rica: http://www.zeledonia.org/galeria/galeria.html
where I found birds with entrancing names like Fiery-billed Aracari, Olivaceous Piculet, Buffy Tuftedcheek, Lineated Foliage-gleaner, Streaked-breasted Treehunter, Scaly-throated Leaftosser, Ocellated Antbird, Great Potoo, Double-striped Thick-knee, Purple-throated Fruitcrow, Bare-necked Umbrellabird, Three-wattled Bellbird, Rufous-browed Peppershrike, Silvery-fronted Tapaculo, Greenish Elaenia, Torrent Tyrannulet .... oh, man, it just goes on and on! I even like the Plain-brown Woodcreeper name. I love it! I've gotta go there!!!
