The Passing of Warren Pulich

Warren Pulich, author, professor, ornithologist, and great friend of birders and the birds throughout our state, has passed away. See his obituary notice at this link to the FWAS.org website: http://www.fwas.org/showthread.php?p=2598#post2598. It is also on Texbirds today.

Susan, thanks so much for posting this notice and link. From reading his obituary, I've learned that Mr. Pulich was an even more amazing man than I knew. We were fortunate that he chose to live amongst us in North Central Texas.

Our own Dr. Marcy Brown Marsden was one of his students at UD, I believe.

I was shocked and saddened to find the this message in my email when I got home today. Like many birders in Northcentral Texas I considered Warren my birding mentor. I am at a loss to express my feelings of sympathy and condolences to the Pulich family. I and many others have lost a dear friend. Ken Nanney
