This is a list of what was seen at Southside Water Treatment Plant today starting a little after 7:00 a.m.
Least sandpiper
Semipalmated sandpiper
Willet
Spotted sandpiper
Upland Sandpiper
Buff-breasted sandpiper
Solitary sandpiper
Baird's sandpiper
Lesser yellowlegs
Greater yelllowlegs
Black necked stilt
Dowicher
Stilt sandpiper
Killdeer
Great egret
Cattle egret
Tricolored heron
White faced ibis
White ibis
Black bellied whistling duck
Mallard
Canada geese
Western kingbird
Scissor tailed flycatcher
Mourning dove
Eurasian collared dove
Mockingbird
Red winged blackbird
Red tailed hawkIt was a small group (just 5 of us). If anyone who went has any additions or corrections, please note them!
It was hot and humid but we had a good time.
