During "Bird Bytes" before the Audubon Dallas meeting this evening, I'll be giving a short presentation on rare birds seen in North Texas over the past 2 weeks.

Bird Bytes begins at 7:10 p.m. and ends at 7:25 p.m., prior to the "official" meeting which commences at 7:30.

Allow extra time tonight to find our new meeting space at Scottish Rite Hospital in the Auxiliary Lounge. (The auditorium will be undergoing renovation for about the next 18 months.)

Recent North Texas rarities include:

Snow Bunting (Lewisville Lake Park, Denton County)
Northern Shrike (Grayson County, near Hagerman NWR)
White-winged Scoter (Grayson County)
Little Gull (White Rock Lake)
Lesser Black-backed Gull (White Rock Lake)
Costa's Hummingbird (Hudson Oaks, Parker County)The presentation will include photos taken by Connie Sandlin, Laura Packer, Gus Stangeland, Martin Reid, Matt White, Brian Gibbons, Chris Easley, Angela McKey, and Thomas Riecke.

Scottish Rite Hospital is located at the southwest quadrant of Oak Lawn Avenue and Maple Avenue.

connie,
Neither of the WWSC's (2) in Grayson County were at Loy Lake, one was at the "Firestation Pond" in Sherman and the other was at Randell Lake in Denison

Has there been anything interesting at Loy Lake lately?
