Did I unknowingly take a picture of one. I found this "shore bird" in a shallow pond in Ellis County just south of Midlothian. I think it may be a Greater Yellowlegs Willet.

Ha!.
Willets have dark gray legs, so we can safely say Greater Yellowlegs in this case.
Willets in Dallas are highly unusual. I can't ever recall seeing one in migration.

oops it seems they were in fact, pictures from two years ago! he said it was on Apr. 26th 2005. He said he "took it at a local park in Carrollton, this park has relatively large, shallow lake that attracts a wide variety of waterfowl." i will try to get him to be more specific.
